As a prominent international ship owner and maritime investment management firm, Ernst Russ AG has been utilizing Ankeri's platform since 2021. Ernst Russ has been working in close collaboration with Ankeri’s development team to introduce automatic generation of hire invoices based on charter party details. Now Ernst Russ has decided to roll out the usage of the invoicing feature. Previously they have been using Ankeri to manage operational data, streamline workflows, maintain regulatory compliance, manage charter party contracts and the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS). This partnership has enabled Ernst Russ to address critical operational and technical needs while supporting its growing global fleet.
Selin Pektas, Chartering/Operations Manager at Ernst Russ, has become a certified super user of Ankeri’s platform and highlighted its impact on their operation: "Ankeri has significantly improved our data management at Ernst Russ, giving us complete control and reliable, consolidated view of our fleet. Everything is seamlessly connected across modules such as charter party management, CII and EU ETS monitoring. By integrating with Ankeri's Data Connections Hub, a cloud-based data storage infrastructure, we can easily connect data and convert it into formats that we can process and use in our systems, such as vessel performance and consumption monitoring. Before joining forces with Ankeri, we relied on spreadsheets and extracting data from various systems, which was difficult to manage, costly, and inefficient. Ankeri has eliminated the need for these disparate tools. Consequently, collaboration across departments at Ernst Russ has strengthened, making our workflow more transparent and efficient. "
Ernst Russ recognized that managing different hire invoices manually was burdensome and that automation was needed to generate sequences of hire invoices based on agreed charter party terms, add costs, automatically deduct off-hires, and generate statements of accounts. Ernst Russ came to Ankeri with these challenges which has now resulted in Ankeri's latest feature that simplifies the process of how hire invoices are generated and managed. Selin Pektas expressed her enthusiasm as one of the first adopters of the new Chartering Invoicing functionality:
"Through our partnership with Ankeri, Ernst Russ was able to identify and harness automation potential from the invoicing processes. Using Ankeri’s capability to auto-generate hire invoices, capture several expenses and summarize for a complete account overview, we have been able to streamline our current processes further. The flexibility and modular structure of Ankeri’s platform helped this transition to happen in a very short time."
Ankeri strives to be the digital catalyst to leverage value from data and address current and future digitalization objectives for their customers with its scalable software platform to create competitive advantages for shipping companies. Joern Springer, VP Customer Success at Ankeri, commented:
"We are pleased to collaborate with Ernst Russ and fulfill their needs with our holistic charter party management software, and we value our long-term trusted partnership. We believe that the latest feature of Chartering Invoicing is a solution-oriented advancement in the digitalization of the chartering process."
Ernst Russ AG has been adding significant value across three key areas through the integration of Ankeri's innovative platform: centralized and secure data handling, streamlined internal workflows, and automated compliance management for EU ETS and other regulations. Ernst Russ’s successful deployment of Ankeri's platform for Chartering, EU ETS, and the recent adoption of its Chartering Invoicing solution has been key in addressing evolving needs.
