Singapore has long played a vital role in global shipping, home to the world’s busiest transshipment port and a thriving maritime ecosystem connecting over 600 ports worldwide. Today, it continues to lead the way in maritime innovation, sustainability and international collaboration. That leadership was on full display last week at Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2025, which gathered more than 20,000 attendees from around the globe.Â

Held from 24–28 March, SMW stood out not just for its scale but for the clear shift from ambition to action—particularly in areas that resonate with Ankeri’s mission: decarbonisation, digitalisation, and meaningful collaboration.Â
Ankeri was proud to exhibit at the Tech Stage, joining nearly 200 international exhibitors showcasing forward-looking maritime solutions in Singapore Maritime Week 2025.Â

As part of the week’s program, our CEO Kristinn Aspelund took the Tech Stage at the SMW Tech Village for two sessions focused on building digital infrastructure for decarbonisation and driving operational excellence.
He shared how Ankeri’s modular platform helps the maritime industry move toward smarter, data-driven operations by enabling long-term decision-making and supporting fleet transition.
Key Takeaways from Our Week in Singapore
Digitalisation and decarbonisation in shipping is well underway, and it’s no longer just a future ambition. Throughout the week, it was clear that scalable digital infrastructure is now a shared priority across the industry. That message came through strongly in conversations around the EXPO and during Kristinn’s sessions at the Tech Stage. There’s a real appetite for practical solutions, not just concepts. Â
We had some great conversations around what it takes to move from ideas to action. It’s exciting to take part in this shift and be positioned at the front of digital change: where collaboration, innovation and scale aren’t just goals but active priorities.Â
Ankeri returns from SMW 2025 with new ideas, stronger connections and a shared sense of responsibility for shaping what comes next. Thanks to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore for hosting a world-class event and to everyone who stopped by to connect, ask questions and share ideas.Â

See you next year.
